Aaliyah Haughton was famous in 1994, when she dropped her first album Age isn't just an amount. She was only 15 at the time and the album was later renamed Gold. R. Kelly heavily influenced the group and helped bring her up to the top of the charts. She collaborated in 1996 together with Jermaine Dupri and Timbaland to record her follow-up album One In A Million which contained the number-one hit single If Your Girl Could Only Know. Aaliyah became a well-known R&B singer after the album's release. The year 2000 saw her starred alongside the famous martial arts star Jet Li as Jet Li in Romeo Must Die. She has also appeared in Leverage, Suits, Grey's Anatomy and Grey's Anatomy. She's appeared in many commercials including Volvo's international car maker. She has a daughter, is a resident of Los Angeles and is pursuing acting.
