Jeanie Marie Buss is an American businesswoman from the United States. She is the current president and the controlling owner for the Los Angeles Lakers National Basketball Association. Buss comes from California is a member of an exceptionally wealthy family. Jerry Buss' father was a real-estate magnate who was later a part owner of the Lakers and several other companies in the field of sports. Their relationship ended in 1972 which made her feel like she was left behind. When she was 19 years old, she became the general manager of Los Angeles Strings, a professional tennis team. Then she founded in the Los Angeles Blades team of professional roller hockey. She first served as vice-president of the Lakers before she assumed the presidency of Great Western Forum. Buss was the inheritor of the Lakers by her dad in 2013. Her five siblings took over the franchise through an estate trust. She assumed the office of president for the Los Angeles Lakers. Buss is also the co-owner of Women of Wrestling a pro-wrestling promotion headquartered in Los Angeles.
